As an artist I think often about how I want to be remembered. I ponder the legacy I will leave behind. I cherish the idea that one day my art will fill spaces I can no longer exist in. Or maybe places I've never been myself.
I've sold thousands of pieces. You can find my art in each state in the US, and even further beyond. My creations travel around the world meeting people I've never met. This is so beautiful to me.
When I make art, I feel like it's part of me that I am sharing with the world. It's me opening the door and welcoming you into a world of my own.
Once I have sold a piece it becomes its own entity. The viewer (you) brings a new life to each piece. When you look at it, what do you see? How do you feel? Maybe you purchased this image, but when you look at it, it reminds you of a family member that is no longer here. That is not what I created, but that is what it means to you.
The art lives in you as the viewer, it is my job as the creator to give those feelings a little push.
